Founded in 1981, Daga Group is a nationally recognised chain of companies operating in various verticals including solvent extraction, wind energy power generation, real estate, commercial trading, seed certification, financing etc.,

The flagship company of the group ‘Betul Oil Limited’ was incorporated in the year 1981 and present promoters took over the business in 1995. Betul Oil Limited is engaged in the business of solvent extraction, refining of edible oils, oil seed development, and manufacture of animal feeds and trading of de-oiled cakes. Being one of India’s leading integrated processors of soyabean and sunflower seeds with an edible oil refining capacity of 370 TPD. The first solvent extraction unit was set up at Betul, Madhya Pradesh in 1981 with a total crushing capacity of 100 TPD. Over the last three decades, three additional units are set up, one in Satna, Madhya Pradesh and the other two in MIDC, Solapur with a total solvent extraction capacity of 1,250 TPD and grading capacity is 86,400 TPA (288 TPD). The company’s major manufacturing unit is situated at Betul, M.P. about 200 km from Bhopal. The plant is situated in the midst of soya bean markets of Betul, Itarsi, Harda, Chindwarah in M.P. and Amravati in Maharashtra.

Daga group also operates two wind energy power generation units with an installed capacity of 1.25 MW each at Dhule, Maharashtra and Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. We supply electricity to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited from the Dhule unit and we utilize the power generated at the Dewas unit for captive consumption.

The Group highly believes in its corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) and achieve its CSR objective through “Daga Foundation”. The CSR objective of the group is an integration of economic, environmental and social imperatives while simultaneously addressing shareholder expectations.  CSR is used as an integral business process in order to support sustainable development with a constant endeavour to be a better corporate citizen and enhance the performance in the triple bottom line. As part of CSR, the following services are  provided:

• Free education in rural areas for grades IX -XII and more than 40,000 students are associated with this.
• Vocational training units for women for self-employment.
• Free ambulance services for the local population of Betul.
• Training and education of farmers as regards seed production.
• Conduct free meditation and spiritual classes.
• Organize eye check-up camps, blood donation camps, etc.
• Run a sports academy at Betul.

The Daga Group has its own warehousing facility at Betul. The warehouse is strategically located on the route which leads to the nearby soya producing belt. The warehousing facility is independent of owner’s private mandi activity and also provides warehousing facility without purchasing the raw material from the farmers.

The Daga Group has its own Certified Seed Division which is engaged in the business of developing high-yield hybrid certified seeds for sunflower and soybean crops. Such high yield seeds are certified by the Madhya Pradesh State Seed Certification Agency and are sold to farmers for cultivation. This business division helps the company to maintain the quality of seeds procured from the farmers to whom such high yield seeds were sold.

The Daga Group has within its group a prominent research house providing services of equity research, recommendation and advisory services in the financial markets under its brand name “StockAxis”.

The Group has a publication house which publish Hindi daily Newspaper “Pradeshik Janmat” and provides printing services of all kinds.

The Group also include various companies which are engaged into the business of real estate, trading of minerals, trading in all types of agricultural products, goods, commodities, produce, organic production and merchandise.
